This is an Anglo-Indian bench from the days of The Raj. It is made from teak wood and was used inside the house as well as outside. This particular bench was originally upholstered and the original upholstery nails and pins are still visible on the back, seat and arms. The seat is made from a single plank of wild teak wood. The regency shape of this beautiful bench is delicate and flowing. It is from Gujarat in Northern India
It is incredibly sturdy and has developed a rich patina over the decades. This bench is suitable for inside use only.
